Description:
White-ground Lekythos, or oil flask, with centaur and warrior. The mouth is painted red except for the top, which is reserved. The handle springs from the top of the neck and attaches on the outer portion of the shoulder; it is painted red on the outside only. The neck appears to have been left reserved. A double set of rays decorate the shoulder. The body decoration is divided into four areasrespectively from the top to bottom. The first three areas are on a white ground; the first section consists of a running meander to the right, the second area is a band of hatching, the third section depicts a battle scene with a centaur with raised arms and a capped man running and holding a spear and shield. The lower section of the body is painted dark red with narrow black bands. The top of the disk foot is also painted dark red, while the outside edge and bottom are reserved
