Description:
Two piece silk gown made of tissue silk taffeta, cream with alternating 1) pink satin and 2) pink and green embroidered vertical stripes. Bodice is boned and has hook and eye closure in back. Cotton lined, machine stitched. Off the shoulder neckline, with layers that include lace netting and navy blue velvet trim. Pleats at neckline and at waist give a full bodice front. Pink silk sash at bodice waist. Capped sleeves also trimmed with lace netting and velvet trim. Gored skirt with one hook and eye closure in back (eye is brass, hook is newer). Machine stitched, not lined. Some alterations made. Small pleats at waist. Inside petersham or waistband at bodice marked "Coyle/ Boston." Measurements: bodice waist 24.25" arm inseam 4" front length 12 1/8" back length 10.75" skirt waist 22.5" length 33"
