"Medicinal Experiments or, A COLLECTION Of Choice and Safe REMEDIES For the most Part Simple, and easiely prepar'd: Very Useful in FAMILIES, and fitted for the Service of Country People. By the Honourable R. BOYLE, Esq, late Fellow of the Royal Society. In Three Parts. Containing above Five Hundred Choice Receipts. The Sixth Edition Corrected. London: Printed for W. and J. Innys, Printers to the Royal Society, at the Prince's Arms in St. Paul's Church-Yard, 1718." The flyleaf has two ink inscriptions: "Wm Stoddard Williams 1791" and "S. W. Williams 1829". Dr. William Stoddard William (1762-1829) was the son of Dr. Thomas Williams (1718-1775), the first of the three Williams doctors in Deerfield. William Stoddard Williams' son was Dr. Stephen West Williams (1790-1855), the second owner of this book. The inisde back cover page has the inscription in ink: "T. Williams / His Book god be With / Him and his Blood[?]"; over six lines of verse: "When Sturdy Storms of Strife are ? / Shall quiet Calm Appear / I often See un ? ? ??"
