Description:
Ceramic duck painted in white, black, browns, and tan, which is inscribed on the bottom "WOOD DUCK / NORMAN "CERAMIC" / DEERFIELD." This object was made by Edward "Ted" Norman, who worked as an arts and crafts potter at the Bloody Brook Tavern in Deerfield, Massachusetts, in the 1933 - 1955. A collection of his ceramic birds are also in the collection of the Atwood House Museum in Chatham, Massachusetts.
