Description:
A Persian brass camel: the entire surface elaborately chased with mythological human and animal figures. Hollow, with an open hole on the belly side. Presented to Mr. Skinner by Hagop Bogigian, co-chairman on a drive for Near East funds. Bogigian was a Boston antique and rug dealer of Armenian descent who was married to a Mount Holyoke College alumna.
