ca. late 19th or early 20th century plaster cast of a marble original dating to the Archaic Period, ca. 525 BCE. This cast is of the right half of the east frieze of the Siphnian Treasury at Delphi depicting a battle between the Greeks and the Trojans. Three horses, one of them ridden by a horseman, are pictured galloping to the left. To the right of the horses, two standing soldiers, one wearing a helmet and both carrying shields, proceed to the right. Both standing soldiers have partial right legs and all three horses have missing or truncated legs.
