When Rebecca offers to draw water for a traveler and his camels, the traveler, Eliezer, servant of Abraham, recognizes her as the righteous woman he seeks to become the bride of Isaac, Abraham’s son, and gives her the betrothal jewels (Genesis 24:10-22).
