Label Text:
The title of this print appears at upper-left within the red cartouche. The artist's signature is within the red cartouche at middle-right and reads "Gokotei Sadakage mo" ('a woodblock print by Gokotei Sadakage'). The seal of publisher Yamamotoya Heikichi, of the firm Eikyūdō, the kanji "kyū" beneath interlocking double mountain peaks, is visible at middle-bottom directly beneath the circular kiwame seal of the censor. The inscription in the cartouche at upper-right reads:

"This image does not resemble any others, past or present. It looks like there are the heads of four children but when you look at it from any direction, they become ten people." ('Kono zu wa kokon ni nai zu nite kodomo gonin no kashira nite shihō yori mireba jūnin ni nari')
