Description:
Struck bronzed copper medal made by engraver and medallist Charles Cushing Wright (1796-1857). Obverse: profile bust of Daniel Webster under his name. Under te bust is: "C.C. Wright. D & F." Reverse: a commemorative column, surmounted by a globe, the base of the column inscribed: “I STILL LIVE” with buildings from Dartmouth College in the background. The entire scene is surrounded by the legend: "LIBERTY AND UNION. NOW AND FOREVER. ONE AND INSEPARABLE.” And at the base of the column: “Meade Bros. Dag.” and: “F. W. Green Pub." name around, signed C. C. Wright (Charles Cushing W”, patinated copper, c. 1852.
