Cover sheet reads: SHOWA 60, OCTOBER 13, KYOTO (THE YEAR IN TRADITIONAL JAPANESE IS TRANSLATED TO 1985) THE MAPS HAVE CONTINUED TO HAUNT US. THERE ARE APPARENTLY THIRTY LOCATIONS. THEY ARE SITUATED ALL OVER THE PLANET, ON EACH CONTINENT. BECAUSE THEY SEEM TO BE IN A NUMBERED SEQUENCE, PERHAPS THERE IS A NARRATIVE TO THIS PUZZLE OR MESSAGE. THE SOURCE OF MAPS CONTINUE TO BE A MYSTERY. WHAT THE SHAMAN DID TELL US IS THAT THE MAPS HAVE BEEN HANDED DOWN TO VARIOUS SHAMANS OVER MANY GENERATIONS. MY WHOLE LIFE HAS BEEN A SERIES OF POINTLESS PROJECTS AND ENCOUNTERS WITHOUT PASSION AND A STILLNESS OF CERTAINTY. ALTSUSHI AND KENJI HAVE ALSO FELT THE LINEARARITY OF THEIR SCIENTIFIC THINKING CHALLENGED. LANDSCAPE IS MYTHOLOGY, TIME AND THE VESSEL OF CULTURE, MORE THAN MATERIAL GOODS. TO DIG DEEPLY INTO THE EARTH IS TO MAKE A HOLE IN THE FABRIC OF TIME AND HISTORY AND FUTURE POSSIBILITY.
