Description:
Cast iron parlor stove impressed "Wilson's Patent Stove" in an oval on the front side, which was owned by Miss Louise H. Billings (1862-1949) of Deerfield, who lived on the west side of Main Street two house north of the Deerfield Inn. William Wilson (d.1868) was a Greenfield businessman whose foundry produced heavy cast iron stoves. The stove has a large. decorative heating cone with an urn-shaped brass finial mounted on the top; two brass ball-shaped finials on the top sides; neo-classical stamped decoration on the front; grate; and wire fire screen with a brass rim.
