Description: Blue painted dry sink with a single-panel cupboard door at the front that opens to reveal two interior shelves. The rectangular shaped top overhangs at the front and is framed on each of its four sides with a single board to create a well or sink for washing. The cupboard door on the front of the sink is framed by a single board on its left side and a single board on its right side that are both secured into place with nails at the top, bottom, and sides of the boards. The sides of the sink are also each composed of a single board that are both secured into place with nails at the top, bottom, and center of the boards. The back of the sink is composed of four vertical boards that are chamfered at the extreme left and right sides, and are secured into place with nails at the top, botom, and center of the boards. The blue paint is not original to the piece, but evidence of what may be the sink's original blue or green paint is located on the reverse of the cupboard door. The sink has a history of ownership in the Hawks Family of Deerfield, Massachusetts.
