Description:
Light brown corduroy blazer worn by Henry N. Flynt (1893-1970) during the mid-20th century. Henry, along with his wife Helen Geier Flynt (1895-1986), founded the Heritage Foundation, later Historic Deerfield, in 1952. The casual styling of the sportscoat features three woven wooden buttons. A label inside reveals its maker as “Franklin Simon/ FIFTH AVENUE NEW YORK.”
