Description:
Black wool tuxedo coat and trousers worn by Henry Needham Flynt (1893-1970). Henry, along with his wife Helen Geier Flynt (1895-1986), founded the Heritage Foundation, later Historic Deerfield, in 1952. A label on the inside of the coat reveals “Alfred Nelson Co.,
Inc. / 18 East 53 rd Street New York [between 5 th and Madison, near
Rockefeller Ctr].' Additional information typed onto the label indicates the client "Mr. Henry N. Flynt / 6/11/65 No. 9074”.
