Description:
This object was made by Edward "Ted" Norman (1911-2005), who worked as an arts and crafts potter at the Bloody Brook Tavern in Deerfield, Massachusetts, in the 1930s - 1950's. Impressed mark on bottom "OLD - DEERFIELD - MASS" in a circle. Made by Edward Norman of Old Deerfield Pottery (at the site of the Bloody Brook Tavern). Hand thrown earthenware vase covered all-over with a shiny blue glaze, the vase is cylindrical in shape with a wide mouth and a narrow base. There are some spots were the glaze did not completely cover the object (could be glaze creep).
