Description:
White painted tinned sheet iron box, rectangular in shape, with hinged lid, and tab latch. The front, top, and sides of the box feature painted decoration of red berries and green leaves. Bottom is painted black. Interior of box is very shiney. The box is attributed to Zachariah Brackett Stevens (1778–1856), of Stevens Plains (now Westbrook), Maine, and dates ca. 1830. Paint possibly restored or retouched.
