Description:
Colorless lead glass; mold-blown and free blown. Pear-shaped body; ear-shape handle applied opposite wide tooled lip; pattern of out-thrusting cleats on body; polished pontil mark on underside, very thick heavy glass. Jugs similar to this example have also been attributed to the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company, Sandwich, MA.
