Description:
Molded form in the shape of a snail shell, covered with red slip/glaze on the exterior, object is not marked. This object was probably made by Edward "Ted" Norman (1911-2005), who worked as an arts and crafts potter at the Bloody Brook Tavern in Deerfield, Massachusetts, in the 1930s - 1950's. This collection of objects was owned by Stephen Maniatty, a painter who lived in Deerfield, MA.
