Description:
Silver cup with a prominent flared lip, straight slightly flaring sides, applied banded (drawn) base, and attached swage drawn handle (seam visible on base piece?), which is marked "NM" conjoined in oval once on base for Nathaniel Morse (c.1688-1748), and engraved with the initials "T / CF" in block letters on the base. The cup is on a small scale but of good weight (note scribe mark prominent on base). Condition: Very good, some scratches and wear evident,notably on base, several damaged areas along the rim, and upper body; notably to the left near the handle, handle connections evident on the interior, hammer marks very evident along sides of body, tape residue on base to be removed, evidence of removed label? on interior.
