Description:
Threefold needlework case in red leather with a gilt-embossed design of floral sprays, small circles and scallops, gilt-stamped with "H. WILLIAMS." on the back fold, and lined with blue silk. H. Williams maybe Helen M. Williams (b. 1819), the daughter of Stephen West Williams (1790-1855) and Harriet Goodhue Williams, who married Edward P. Huntington in 1841. There is a small four-page notebook covered in blue silk with handwritten notes and the alphabet.
