Description:
Cast silver and gold rectangular medal with: "MEDALLIC ART CO. NY. FINE GOLD STERLING" engraved on bottom edge. Obverse: "INTERNATIONAL PHILATELIC EXHIBITION/NEW YORK 1936" above gold horseback rider, probably pony express, riding against a setting sun, all on silver ground. On proper right edge: MAHONRII" and at bottom: "AWARDED TO/HENRY C. NEEDHAM" and on reverse: "UNITED STATES" engraved at center.
