Moss cat. 1976 #60: “Enamel on copper painted with famille rose enamels on a blue ground with a continuous scene of pairs of different birds amidst a riverscape: the base plain. Canton 1750-1850. Height 7.6 cm.”
Cylindrical Beijing enamel bottle with self stopper. Blue is a fine cobalt. The design is feng-huang (phoenix bird; empress symbol), Manchurian crane (longevity), ducks (conjugal bliss), and flowers. Peonies, rocks, tree up one side.
