Description:
English delftware, circular punch bowl with blue decoration, which descended in the family of Dr. Thomas Williams (1718-1775) of Deerfield. The exterior sides are decorated with two large, scrolling dark blue floral sprays with daisy and tulip-like flowers covering most of the surface. The interior rim has a blue band with a scrolling line and solid circles alternating with a trellis pattern; the well is decorated with a large floral spray; and bowl has is an applied, raised foot ring.
