Description:
Silver tablespoon with an elliptical bowl and a long rat-tail drop; straight narrow shaft tapering to an upturned handle; and a long midrib on the front of the handle. The spoon is marked "W.SIMPKINS" in rectangle on back of handle for Willliam Simpkins (1704-1780), and engraved with the initials"L*B" in block letters on the back of the handle.
