Description:
Pieced, cotton quilt done in the "Ship's Wheel" pattern with eight-pointed, red stars done in 6 1/2 square blocks with two rows of three stars with 3 1/2" sashing between the blocks, and the star on the bottom drop on point; wot corners cutout to accomodate bed posts; straight applied binding; three-piece, plain-weave, white cotton backing; and wool (probably) batting. The quilting is done in 6 stitches per inch with the stars outlined, a grid on the bottom drop, clamshells in the star blocks, and parallel lines in the sashing.
