Description: A Belgian boxlock double barrel, double action, percussion cap pocket pistol. 2 3/4" round etched barrels with four inside straight grooves extending in about 1/4" from muzzle. Center fire hammers, cut away at top in short slits, one straight and one curved trigger, wide trigger guard engraved, varnished black walnut curved butt. Scroll design engraved on both sides lock plate. On the barrel is the Belgian proof mark of an oval surrounding ELG and a star. Underneath on the lock plate and on both barrels twice is the letter J and square prick punch marks - the mark of the superintendent.
