SKINNER CATALOGUE:
A German [crossed out] French navy cutlass of the World War period. Found by Alfred Paganini on the battlefield just outside Verdun. Fine steel blade, 23 1/4" x 1 5/16". Slightly curved, ribbed brass handle. Flat brass guard, curving across the blade and ending in a nub. No scabbard. Stamped R F on the guard. Weight: 24 ozs. Cat. 10/9/1935.
