Description: Coverlet woven in overshot chequered pattern. Single ply blue wool weft and undyed cotton warp and weft. Two lengths woven, then stiched together with undyed linen thread. Two squares in the same materials and pattern are stitched onto each lower corner with undyed linen thread. The same thread secures the "floating" wool weft in these squares. Additional repairs to the "floating" wool weft in the center have been done with darker blue single ply wool in a slightly heavier weight. Two handwritten tags on twill tape: "A.B. Edwards" at foot of coverlet; and "Anna C (or B) -----" at top of coverlet.
