Description:
Base design shows a stylized lotus blossom; mount of hammered gold sheet has tubular ends for rotatable attachment to the hoop of a finger-ring. This type of swivel mount was common for signet-rings, allowing use of the underside of the scarab as a seal. The mount is original.
