Description:
One of four silver spoons (HD 2001.53.42-.45) with a slightly downturned fiddle-end handle, slightly rounded shoulders, and pointed oval bowl, which is marked "J.K. FELLOWS" for James Knowlton Fellows (1809-1904), and engraved with the initials "PBW" in script in a rectangle on the front of the handle. Fellows was in partnership with his brother Ignatius W. Fellows (1808-1887) in 1834, and with Henry Ordway as Fellows & Ordway, circa 1855.
