Description:
Carved with flowers; silver corners. "Intricately and deeply carved ivory panels of genre scenes; drawers are floral designed, mostly peony and butterflies."
"Intricately carved with chrysanthemums and lotus flowers. Silver bound corners. Each drawer is mounted with a carved symbol of legend. Drawer 1 - illustrates Okame, the symbol of mirth and good humor. Drawer 2 - Illustrates Daruma, the saint whose long meditation cost him the use of his legs. Drawer 3 - Illustrates Daikoku, the symbol of wealth. This box is superbly carved."
