Description:
English pearlware figure of a boy and bird, which was originally one of a pair of figures birdnesting. The press-molded figure shows a boy holding up a bird in one hand and a nest of birds in the other, with a green bocage or tree behind him and extruded moss at his feet. The boy is painted in overglaze polychrome enamels, with turquoise jacket, yellow, blue, and black plaid vest, and purple breeches. The piece has a molded mark "WALTON" on back of the base in a banner.
