Description:
Staffordshire porcelain figure (a type that has also been described as a cottage mantel ornament), decorated in yellow, brown, pink, turquoise, orange, black and gilding. Two girls sit reading a book as a kneeling boy looks over the center girl's shoulder; there is a small yellow cradle below the boy's knee. The hollow tree trunk behind the children can be used as a vase.
