SKINNER CATALOG: An old one day shelf clock in pine, with mahogany veneer. In good running condition, with original works, face, hands, and pendulum. Door has plain class over the face; mirror below. Cyma curved molding side verticals; top scalloped, with short square columns at each corner.
Face white, with back Roman numerals; sprig design in each corner in green, blue, brown, and yellow, and marked: DANIEL PRATT, JR. READING. MASS. U.S.A.
Pasted to the back inside is a printed sheet showing a spread eagle, E Pluribus Unum, Times Flies, EXTRA CLOCKS, Manufactured and Sold, Wholesale and Retail, by DANIEL PRATT, JR. Reading Mass. 1843. Warranted Good. The public may rest assured the the Clocks made at this Factory are of the First quality; and superior to any ever made in this, or any other country.
