Description:
Trimmed photograph mounted onto cardboard of the ferry boat that crossed the Connecticut River to transport passengers, livestock and equipment between Hockanum (a village in Hadley, Massachusetts) and Northampton. The image depicts a flat boat with the driver in front. A man sitting in a covered carriage and two horses ride on the back. In the background is the Holyoke mountain range.
