Description:
The personification of poverty (Pauperies) dressed in rags, seated in a winter landscape on a chair made of tree branches and straw. Behind her a modest house. At her feet is humility (Humilitas): a girl with a sheperds staff and a cloven heart in her hands. On the left in the background an impoverished village and beggars.
