Description:
Shallow, silver oval bowl, gilt-lined, with wide band of pierced-work which reveals foliate forms within ellipses, bright-cut engraving in and around pierced band; applied, molded foot ring and hinged bail handle. Hallmarks: lion passant; leopard's head crowned; date letter "r;" sovereign's head; maker's mark "JP." Inscriptions: 508; 59........
