Description: The diary of Rev. Justus Forward. "Cold Spring, "Belchertown, 1758. "April 10. Training here. 13 or 14 men enlisted into the proposed expedition against Cannada." "12. this week began to fence a pasture south of my hosue." "21. Fryday. Seth set out some apple trees and Martin made the garden gate." "May 1. Lunee. Sheard my Sheep." "7. D.D. Spoke peculiarly to the soldiers who are going into the war from this place about 20 in all." "9. Went to Dn. Lymans and yoked my hogs." "23. fenced my yard for turnips." "June 26. Lunee. a rainy day set out tobacco. cabbage F. turnips." "30. got in my hay." "August 1. Ensn. Billings cradled an acre of rye for me." "3. reaped 3 acres." "25. Steven Fairfield threshed rye for me." "September 15. Steven Fairfield and his son to rake my hay and Hopkin King to cart it." "18. I cut and hung up most of my tobacco." "23. Justus Forward was pastor at Belchertown, 1755-1813.
