Description:
ōban, publisher: Kagaya Kichibei. From a series of beautiful women matched with the 108 heroes of Suikoden (Tsuzoku Suikoden Goketsu Hyakuhachinin No Hotori). Hanaogi represents the great general Xu Wu viewing the moon from a tower. Suikoden was the Japanese translation of a Ming novel about renegade Chinese heroes. A popular series by Kuniyoshi was the inspiration for this print.
