Description:
Rosette with eight white petals and a white center, against a dark tan background. White center is even with top surface of petals. Expert Brigit Crowell has seen photos of the Mount Holyoke rosettes and has confirmed that they are likely to have come from Tell el Yahudiya, the only known site where such rosettes have been found. The rosette inlays would have decorated an architectural surface.
