Description: Rosette with eight white petals and a white central boss against a gray background. Small area of the edge is broken off, with loss of tips of two petals. Expert Brigit Crowell has seen photos of the Mount Holyoke rosettes ans has confirmed that they are likely to have come form Tell el Yahudiya, the only known site where such rosettes have been found. The rosette inlays would have decorated an architectural surface.
