Description:
Middle section of triptych; In the center foreground, Kanehira (name in yellow cartouche) is attempting to hold off the enemy but Ishida Taro Tumeyoshi (left in background) is about to shoot Yoshinaka (in left panel 527) with an arrow and kill him. Kanehira had planned to provide cover for Yoshinaka so that he could retreat to commit ritual suicide. Long inscription at top of print see file for translation.
