Description:
Architectural pine corner cupboard composed of an arched opening revealing three shaped shelves above a cabinet secured with a hinged fielded panel door. The cupboard is significant because it came from the Gill, Massachusetts, house of the Reverend Ezekiel (1779-1841) and Ruth Henshaw Bascom (1772-1846), the artist. The cupboard was purchased from Rachel French, who is from Gill, and who also forwarded an historical photograph of the Bascom House, which is in the object file.
