Label Text:
With the motif of the house, Vassiliev calls back to the beginning of his print series, where he uses the silhouette to visualize the actual "House with the Mezzanine" from Chekhov's story. While Vassiliev uses color very sparsely in the first part of the series, he adds here a hint of red, like a reverberation of the salient red in the previous print.
