Description:
Woman's black "evening" hat, square shaped and covered all over with glass beads and a black net veil in front. Label at inside crown reads "MONTALDO'S" located in Durham, North Carolina. Worn by Nathalie Clare (mother of donor, Mrs. Cathleen Esleeck). The hat may never have been worn; a label inside reads "Montaldo's Inc." with a lot number of H308-29. The tag indicates the hat cost $29.95 at the time of purchase by the wearer.
