Description:
Continental European side chair with a banister back and rush seat. There is a stylized carving in the center of the scrolled crest rail; round finials over turned stiles with round knobs at the bases; five beaded or fluted back rails over a carved bottom back rail; simple turned front stretchers and legs ending in rounded feet, and plain turned side and back stretchers with plain square back legs. The crest rail is ash.
