Description:
Silver pocket watch with a white face. The outside rim of the face is marked with Arabic numerals that are not the traditional 1-12; a single hand with a small circle points to these numbers. Two other watch faces exist inside the main face; the top is a traditional face with Roman numerals and two hands. The other is marked 1-4 with a single hand. The face is marked "American Watch Co." at the top, "Chrondometer" in red, and "Patent Feb 8 1859." The back is clear to reveal the workings of the watch, and is marked: "Appleton, Tracy, & Co., Waltham, Mass." Tag reads: "Old K.W. Hosee tinier special, very rare, 1859-69."
