Description:
Tinaja (large water jar) with ovocylindrical shape, incurving neck and flaring rim, resting on 3 looped feet. Loop handles on each side. Sand-colored ground with dark brown design: grasses and flowers with 2 large birds on one side, same design with 1 bird on opposite side. Inscribed: "Agustur Ort." Initial on neck:AC; perhaps from village of San Agustin.
