Description:
Pocket watch with an image of the woman as the background, varied colors. The woman is wearing a dress and shawl, and is holding a basket of fruit. She is standing on the bank of a river with a house on the opposite side. A cock with gold scroll cut-outs, usually on the movement plate, is exposed on the upper half of the face plate. Below it is a small white dial surface, with black Arabic numerals 1-12 and two hands. Tag reads: No name. Carried in Granby, Mass. about 1775." French movement carved with elaborate floral patterns.
