Description:
Elaborate paired-case pocket watch. The back has a tortoiseshell pattern; the front is rimmed in the same pattern with groups of miniature raised metal circles. The watch face is small with a white background. The markings are black in a system of arrows and zeroes or circles--a stylized version of Arabic numerals. Two hands. Marked: "Ralph Gout, London."
